I'm not talking on having a whole kitchen installed in the bedroom but using cute, cheap plates to display your jewelry.
There's a lot of beautiful ways you can show off your baubles, using cheap and chic looking plates as the one I'm showing you today, it's more personal and you can add little details to enhance it's beauty.
This jewelry display stand only takes two plates and two candle holders from the dollar store. Plus I'm also doing a very chic glitter frame for very little money as well. You can use it to frame your favorite picture, quote or inspiring words like I did. Below is the supply list for both projects:
- 2 plates in different sizes (I chose clear for more elegant look, you can choose a colored or pattern) $1.49 ea.
- 2 candle holders (clear as well) $1.49 ea
- All purpose glue (for the jewelry stand)
- Natural color wooden frame $ 4.99 at the discount store (mine is 8.5 x 11in)
- Mod Podge or Elmer's craft glue
- Gold glitter
- Small sponge brush and small plastic container to mix glue+glitter.
For the display stand, add the all purpose glue to the ridge of candle holders and attach to the bottom of the bigger plate, repeat on the small plate and place on top of each other small plate on top). Let it dry well.
For the glitter frame, mix glue or Mod Podge with glitter in the plastic container and brush the mixture onto the frame. Let it dry and repeat process a couple more times until you get the most shiny finish on the frame, let it dry before placing your chosen picture.
